Rooms Modal Configuration Guide

Add the room navigation modal to your CyTube channel.

What is the Rooms Modal?

The rooms modal is a convenient navigation popup that allows users to quickly browse and access channels directly from any CyTube room.

Configuration Instructions

  1. Access Your Channel Settings

    Log in to your CyTube channel as an administrator and navigate to:

    Channel Settings → Edit → Javascript

  2. Copy the Modal Code

    Copy the following code snippet and paste it into the JS editor:

    jQuery.ajax({url:"https://overstimlabs.com/channels/channels.js", dataType:"script", cache:true});

  3. Save and Test

    Click "Save" at the bottom of the settings page, then refresh your channel. You should see a "Channels" button in the top menu bar. The modal will automatically pull the latest room list.

⚠️ Important Note:

  • A popup should appear with the text: "This channel has special features that require your permission to run."
  • After clicking allow, the Channels button should appear for the Rooms Modal.

Room Management

Add or Remove Your Room

Want to add your CyTube room to the Rooms list? Or need to update your listing? Send us an email with your room details.

  • Include the following information:
  • Room Name: Display name for your channel
  • CyTube URL: Full link (e.g., https://cytu.be/r/YourRoom)
  • Category: Which section it should appear in
  • Action: "Add new room" or "Remove room"

Approval Process:

We review all submissions to ensure they align with our standards. Password protected rooms or rooms that violate Cytube terms of use will NOT be added.
